You may think that Apple’s recent decision to focus on your privacy has been in the works for some time. Truth is, they were watching Google take HUGE chunks of the ad market several years ago, through its data-driven focus. Just as they were about to get with the personalization program (through data), Cambridge Analytica happened. Since then they have embraced being the company protecting your data, even though as recently as last August, they were listening to your Siri conversations.Â
